January : What’s happening on the farm

January : What’s happening on the farm

Happy new year! During these long cold winter months you can find the Ingram family doing a handful of things. Taking things a little bit slower in the mornings, feeding lots of animals since they don’t have their typical grass this time of year and new improvements around the farm. This is when we fix the structure of the farm and maybe add new things.

This is the time of the year when Ingram boar goat operation grows as the new mothers have their wild new “kids”. Lauren, the youngest daughter has many long days and nights as she keeps a watchful eye on the herd looking for signs of labor or needing support with their new babies.

As of 2023 we have started opening on Saturdays only through the winter so that customers can come and enjoy greens, fresh eggs and all the fall squash, sweet potatoes and sweet onions that are still hanging out from the final November harvest.
